When Thomson Learning, one of the world's largest textbook publishers, needed to add a multi-user online component to its math and science textbooks, we developed ThomsonNOW. ThomsonNOW (now called CengageNOW) has since evolved into the premier online e-learning platform. It is currently used with hundreds of texts by over 60,000 students at over 2,000 colleges and universities worldwide.

ThomsonNOW integrates testing, tutorial, and course management in a large-scale Web-driven Java application that can support thousands of concurrent users. It simplifies course creation and student access to course materials, facilitates automated teaching and learning, and allows users to collect data from a variety of sources: dynamic tests, textbook content, grades, multi-media exercises, file uploads, and more.
